Base painting for the vintage movie poster ''Decision at Sundown'', a 1957 Western film directed by Budd Boetticher, starring Randolph Scott in the lead role. Set in the rugged frontier town of Sundown, the film is a gripping tale of revenge, redemption, and moral ambiguity.
Randolph Scott stars as Bart Allison, a brooding and determined cowboy who arrives in Sundown seeking vengeance against Tate Kimbrough (portrayed by John Carroll), a powerful and corrupt rancher whom he blames for his wife's death. Accompanied by his loyal friend Sam (Noah Beery Jr.), Bart is consumed by a single-minded determination to confront Kimbrough and exact his revenge, regardless of the consequences.
As Bart and Sam navigate the treacherous streets of Sundown, they encounter a colorful cast of characters, including the town sheriff (Andrew Duggan), a saloon owner (Valerie French), and a preacher (John Archer), each with their own motivations and agendas.
